The Family Bungalow suffers from cramped spaces, particularly in the washroom, making it tricky to maneuver. Stairs leading close to the lagoon can be slippery, presenting a safety concern. The dinner menu could benefit from more vegetarian main course options instead of just appetizers.

Had an amazing time at Xcabal! The lake views are breathtaking, and loved using the free kayaks. A bit of a walk from town on a busy road, but taxis are cheap. Would've liked more vegetarian dinner options though!

However, the inconsistent service at the restaurant made our meals quite frustrating, often taking too long and arriving incorrect.

The hotel has a charming view, but don’t be fooled. the burnt oil smell from the restaurant fills the room. also, the staff barely even acknowledge you, as if my presence didn't matter. I was almost ready to give a good review, but then I didn’t receive any complimentary perks for all my troubles. so disappointing.

Consider requesting a room away from the bin for greater comfort and less noise during your stay, particularly if you are sensitive to these factors.

The Small Double Room we stayed in was cozy and had a great view of the lake! It felt a bit tight, but honestly, we barely spent time inside. The bed was comfy, and the decor was nice. However, I did notice some maintenance issues like creaky floorboards, which could use a bit of attention. Overall, pretty solid stay!

The views of the lagoon are simply breathtaking, and if you manage to get a room with a balcony, it's a must. They provide complimentary kayaks and paddleboards which were a blast to use early in the morning. The friendly staff went out of their way to make our stay great, even helping us book a memorable boat trip on the lagoon.

It wasn’t cheap but the price level was okay for what you get.
